When Mostima opened the door of the tavern where she had agreed to meet Lemuel, the first thing she noticed was the dark gritty atmosphere inside. The place looked like one where people went to talk about shady deals outside the purview of the authorities. The place smelled like liquor and tobacco, which was surprising to her since this was the least likely place where she expected to meet the girl that she was looking for.
As she was glancing around, in the far back of the tavern, she saw the red-haired girl that she was looking for. As soon as she made eye contact with her she could see a bright smile adorning her face and then she soon heard a scream that startled all the other customers.
MOS - TI - MAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
Then, before she could prepare for it, the red-headed girl tackled the breath out of her with a powerful hug. If it wasn't for her military training they would have both fallen to the floor. After centering herself and getting over the initial surprise tackle she was able to respond to her friend's greeting with her own mighty hug.
"Lem......" but before she could finish even her greeting she was stopped.
"EX - XU -SAI!!!!"
Oh yeah, she kept forgetting about that, Lemuel, or better said Exusai had decided to change her name when she left Laterano and joined Penguin Logistics. Something about her name having too heavy of a meaning for her. Mostima kept forgetting to call her by the new name mostly because she had rarely seen her during the past few years.
"Fine, fine Exusai"
Mostima said while breaking the powerful hug and petting the girl that she saw almost as her little sister. Growing up, her parents had been good friends of Lemuen and Exusai's parents, and naturally, she became close friends with the pair. Since Exusai was much younger than them she naturally saw the spunky and energetic girl like a cute little sister.
During the past few years away from home she knew that Exusai had been working for Penhuin Logistics, but she had been avoiding her on purpose. Despite how she acts the girl can be really sharp at times and she does not feel that lying could work on her. She knew that she had been avoiding Lem.. Exusai due to a combination of wanting to protect her and the guilt that she still felt due to what happened to Lemuen, her older sister, while she was in her squad.
Due to the nature of her job for the Pope of Laterano, there were many secrets that she had to keep hidden and if revealed could put Exusai's life in danger. Even though Lemuen had awakened from her coma years before, and there had never been any blame from her family, she still felt responsible. If she could have been faster, if she had seen the betrayal coming... then she felt a sudden slapt on both of her cheeks that left a burning sensation on them.
