CrystalDragon44Aurora ended up being the second choice for my drawing practice after some debate. This came after I wrote a significant chunk of her character in the Embra stories "Shantae and the Return of Embra" and "Star and the Golden Salt" and immediately fell in love with this energetic (and cute) Siren girl!
In Paint, this was the HARD part. I saved this as a JPEG file first, and combined with the Calligraphy Pen tool I used to draw the lines... There was immense aliasing problems when filling her colors in. I had to manually scribble in the colors to the lines to fill in the rest, a dedicated process that took many hours over several weeks.
Still, I regard her as the best result so far. The vastly larger canvas made the lines so smooth and allowed me to squeeze more details in (the smile and the freckles really shine). But it's also memory intensive, which is why I opted for a half-sized canvas from this with Ariel later on.
She's also the reason I made a mad-dash for Krita. I couldn't take Paint anymore...
With all of her backstory, there's an idea for a mini comic from me forming... She's the star of it! Stay tuned to my works here and on other sites...
