Tlatolophus

Dino Lesson

Tlatolophus is a hadrosaur from the Late Cretaceous of Mexico. The name comes from the Náhuatl word tlatolli, meaning "word", due to the crest's resemblance to the Aztec glyph. Tlatolophus's distinctive skull is relatively tall with a high spatula-shaped crest. Like other hadrosaurs, it was a herbivore, processing plant matter with its complex dental batteries. Tlatolophus grew to around 8 m in length, and was facultatively bipedal, meaning it was capable of walking or running on two legs, but normally walked on all fours.
