Petrus92For today’s picture I have something different to show this time around. Aside from featuring a return of modern LAMA gear after a multiple picture break and featuring a new character, this picture is a result of me making a new friend on Pixiv. As you all know I am a big wetsuit/zero suit enthusiast and that often leads me to get acquainted with other artists of similar interests. One of such artist is Gichyon/ぎっちょん who is also big wetsuit artist. Naturally we had a plenty of pleasant conversations about our interest and as a result of them he decided to gift me lineart that he allowed me to colour because he was impressed by my previous works. The character he decided to draw was Pneuma from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 because he wanted to try a new character and because I am currently in Xenoblade mood as you can probably tell from the Pyra picture ^^.
As I mentioned in the description of that picture, Xenoblade 2 has rightfully earned it’s fame as Waifublade and the ultimate form of Pyra/Mythra is no exception that. I love her design so much, her futuristic design and armor is so fascinating to gaze upon. Plus Pneuma is absolutely gorgeous girl by herself, her green hair on ponytail is an absolute turn on for me. Plus she reminds me of Byleth in multiple ways, being a green haired goddess is one of them. And that’s a mark of a divine waifu ^^. In this picture we decided to have Pneuma explore a sunken ship since salvaging is pretty important minigame in Xenoblade 2. Especially if you’re going for 100% completion like I am currently trying to do, salvaging really helps in maxing area development. Pneuma is eager to explore these sunken ships since they could help her to find more about her origins alongside helping Rex in his quest. Hopefully she will find a plenty of loot there and have a safe dive ^^
Colouring this picture was a smooth progress overall thanks to Gichyon’s/ぎっちょん impressive linework, he really did a great job on drawing all of the details on Pneuma’s unique wetsuit and modern LAMA gear. I also decided to give Pneuma’s Aegis crystal and glow effect to give it more advanced look. It is also useful in providing her a light source since the ship is quite dark. The glow effect came out quite nicely overall, I will definitely use it to improve some future pictures ^^. Big thanks for Gichyon/ぎっちょん for gifting and allowing him to colour one of his lineworks, I am glad that I became friends with him ^^
