LitostAndTeaShimakaze from Kantai Collection comes across my version of Hikawa-Maru in the present day. Hikawa is in her more casual outfit this time, as her kimono is hard to draw all the time. illust/94122788
As a retired 1930s Japanese ocean liner and past ww2 hospital vessel, Hikawa-maru is a strongly patriotic ferramacta who still believes Japan and her military are sacred and should be treated with great respect, honor and dignity, even after their defeat. Needless to say, she isn't the least bit amused by Shima's appearance and personality.
