[And now, personal thoughts below.]
Finally... It's about time I can checkmark this on the list of projects found unfinished.
This project started from last year when I had thought of extending the genderswap counterpart of the main characters in Circle of the Moon further. This time, with the whip revealed to be different too.
The weapon itself is more of a divine hard whip type based on the actual Chinese club called "hard whip"... translated in English. [I'm not knowledgeable in Asian arsenal-related stuff and that I just found and read a Wiki page about it alongside looking at YT videos of the bian.] Obviously, the "Huntress' Whip" is short and a bit small, opposite to the more well-known whip.
Nathania's hair clip is now a butterfly instead of a dragonfly, leaning more to the Eastern outfit style plus butterfly motifs while maintaining some of the original gothic style of her clothes [and everyone else too.] Her bang is a bit longer, covering one of her eyes in a certain angle. Finally, she's placed as a secondary character in this artwork, giving her best friend a more focused role.
Huetta's outfit and the weapon choice she uses already fit her as a butterfly dancer. And fans are perfect for her pose. Intentionally, I did put her on the center to remind myself that while I enjoy drawing Nathan, I should also not forget making more of Hugh. References were actually utilized for Huetta's pose in this case given how dynamic she looks in the final result.
As for Draculina... She still has the menacing desire to cause chaos to humanity for her own philosophical reason. Although, her cloak now contains texture relevant to clouds, smoke, and even ashes. The earring design is just random, plus while Dracula is fashionable, the lady of nightmare should have a couple of things for her own too such as golden bracelets seen on her arm.
Overall, had to put myself into completing the unfinished, and this is by far an improvement compared to the past decade's works related to this thought: What if Nathan and Hugh were female in CotM? Despite that, this drawing was made in a small pixel dimension instead of 640x480 in Paint.
[Then again, judging between an MS Paint work to an Aseprite work isn't much of a fair thought for myself.]
