freyjaSo, this is my headcanon for what Istaroth, the goddess/shade of time in Genshin Impact. I took some inspo from Paimon, but also Venti and Columbina -- who I theorize are at least the same species. In essence, I headcanon that Venti and Columbina both celestials (angels) and are brother and sister. They're the children of Istaroth, the shade of time and sister of Asmoday, the shade of void (aka the sustainer of heavenly principles). Her husband was the shade of death, Azrael, who has since been thrown into the abyss for rebelling against the Principles. Columbina has no memory of her mother and father or brother. She was cast from Celestia as a little child, and Arlecchino adopted and raised her.
