ElliescapeAt first, I had this big idea of how everything would look, and then as time went on, I realized that wasn't what I was drawing. Oops. The characters are based on aspects of my friends closest to me, they are separate from the background not only to show a different style and charm but also to represent that my friends are more than just my imagination. The background is based on a couple of influences in my life along with a little fun. The story of The Little Prince is special to me, and so the environment references that. Finally, the background has a look of being "unfinished". This is because, to me, dreams are a concept much like a sketch on paper, so I represented that by letting the under sketch be a focus of attention.
