Here it is, my headspace!
Roughly, the concept stems from Homunculus, as in the sensory homunculus. The sensory homunculus is a map of brain areas dedicated to sensory processing for different parts of body. But here, the senses are correlated to my memories, experiences and identity. Here's my attempt to explain the worldbuilding:
EXTERIOR: THE HEAD
It represents my ever-changing, modular self. I am what you want me to be. I’ll pick up bits and pieces of to build different versions of myself depending on the role i take. So, the face i have, is just a version that you created.
The head also encapsulates the relationship between my senses. Like how my sight and hearing are key receptors to forming my memories. I see what I hear, and I hear what I see. Whether conscious or unconscious, the external stimuli are the foundation to my cityscape.
THE CITYSCAPE
It is my sanctuary, a place where all worlds collide. It mixes three different ecosystems together: the ocean, earth and sky. Sure it might seem surreal, but it is a systematic web of information/memories formed through associations and sometimes seemingly absurd connections. Like those fisheyes, hehe get it?
It’s full of things that mean a lot to me. The candles signify the important people i have in my life. My time with them won’t last forever, but they’ve lit up my life at some point in my life. And then there’s the core of the city, The Impaled Hand. It signifies the complex, yet fundamental relationship I have with art. The rest of the details are things of the past or just simply hobbies.
Welp there you have it, I spilled my brain blerghhh haha. I really enjoyed making this!!
