FinThis is my original headspace design for omocats Drawfest 4 competition. I’m not sure how I feel about this one but I thought I’d upload it before I changed my mind lol.
In omocat’s talk she said about how a lot of the inspiration came from dreams so I decided to combine a couple of my especially vivid dreams together to make a liminal feeling piece. I wanted to draw the pool at first but decided the hallway would work better for what I wanted to do in the end and I think it worked out well. Maybe I’ll draw the pool another time as I found this quite enjoyable to draw.
The people and the place are from two separate dreams but I felt they fit together well. I remember the people had tinted glass arms and all were wearing identical masks and outfits. They all looked at me but only ever moved when I looked away. The school I was in in the other dream had many endless corridors and rooms and there were no exits. Landmarks were few and far between and I found myself constantly searching for the pool room because I knew it was safe.
