Well, Gohan from my timeline has his interesting quirks.
This is a variation of ssj or ssj2 created by Gohan that serves as a catalyst for you to be able to use your full hidden potential.
This variation is not part of the mainline ssj transformations, as it is the replacement for the Ultimate/Mystic Mode which in my history is not a recoverable state as almost like a transformation that DB Super makes it out to be, although it has similar issues, Ultimate's drawbacks are overcome though others arise.
Such a form was developed in the following years after Return of Freeza, Gohan achieved it when motivated by Piccolo sought to focus on self-knowledge and meditation, uniting this with the Saiyan means of evolving.
He evolved his powers normally at a pace that was comfortable with his everyday and professional life, over time he regained his physical form and even reached ssj3, while getting back in shape he finally focused on refining the use of your ki and emotional control.
Son regained control of his occult power after long years by his own means and merit using a common ssj form as a catalyst for this. As his latent powers increase throughout life, the current Hyper Gohan is much more powerful than he was in the Buu Saga.
In this transformation, super saiyan hair becomes more alive. Because of the occult powers released, the common aura of the ssj or ssj2 is ignited and takes on an appearance similar to a yellowish flame. In addition, the eyes begin to have a dark shadow around them, somewhat similar to the red shadow of a Hitozaru's eyes and finally both the iris and the pupil become golden.
This transformation has certain drawbacks and advantages, the energy expenditure is still considerable because of the large flow of ki it unlocks. Anyway, when using all the latent power for a long time, it tends to decay throughout the battle and therefore the use of this transformation requires a lot of caution, but despite everything, the great advantage is that this access to latent powers does not weaken over time as Ultimate Mode and Gohan can teach others how to achieve this transformation without any need for outside help.
Just like the Ultimate, however the hidden power that is unlocked when using Hyper can vary greatly from person to person, not everyone has a great hidden potential like Gohan, so this super saiyan evolutionary strand is not suitable for everyone.
