to begin the first week of April, we're continuing with one of the Skull-Jacker's highlighted units: Heavy Gunner, this is one of their specialties besides Assault, Sniper & Anti Tank.
Lore: America is known for its military, but what's bigger, is that they are known for its mercenary & militia from each state. "sellsword" for the national army and protector of citizens if it wasn't because of their renowned firearm culture. but these days their gun traditions are mostly left empty and worse, misused for foul deeds, until one day, a shocking phenomenon happened: in 2030, sightings of people with magical powers codenamed Nephilims rapidly increased, causing panic across the states. while half of the cases resulted in suicide for their horrifying identity, some of them went rogue against innocent humans. this leads to the people's old tradition being resurrected for a new one: to protect humankind against the dangers of the Superhumans.
Thus, the Skull-Jackers were born. founded by ex-Navy SEALS/ Task Force GHOST Operative, Roy Brownell, this sellsword army comprises militant civilians, newborn US Army soldiers, and sometimes the highest ranks of the US Army. since this was formed by a GHOST (America's most elite Special Force) Operative, this means it also comprises people from US Army's allies like Their own Delta Force, British & Australia's SAS, Israel's Sayeret Matkal, Korea's UDT, and even their counterparts from Thailand & Philipines, Canada, Malaysia & Singapore. they encountered their first problem from their own small arms incapable to counter Nephilim's magic-like powers, but after they heard that the sermons are overwhelmed by the Nephilim outbreak they decided to help them in order to share their makeshift magic tools.
Unit Info:
Skull Jackers have the most remarkable heavy gunner. for they are the moving wall for any infantry. they are known for their mobile flanking maneuver, always being accompanied by a shock trooper or point-man on their back to unleash a hail of bullets on their enemies. this is proof that Skull Jackers has the best assault units if it wasn't because of their long-slumbered firearm tradition.
Creator's note: when i look at another tabletop game called Infinity, i am amazed that they can create a futuristic US Marine but still retain its modern look, which becomes the inspiration of this unit's uniform. although their structures were heavily influenced by Imperial Guard from WH40K.
