I got a scene where he primarily interacts with Morgan and I wanted to do something with the two until I make the scene into a short eventually.

The three were not too comfortable around Nivan at the start, since they were quite young and in a new setting, the military at that, with new people, not knowing what to expect and just getting out of another quite bad environment. He was an authority on top of that, one of the people with whom they had no positive experiences before hand, so he was rather intimidating to them. Morgan, however, was the one of the six who was visibly the most frightened of him, while the rest were more so cautious and uncertain. Nivan noticed it quickly by her behavior, and although he never quite addressed it directly, he acted somewhat differently around her as to show her it is not in his interest to harm her, and that he is there to teach them and look after them.
Over time, not only did she stop being afraid of him, he actually became one of the people she felt the most comfortable around. He was deeply fond of the three especially, and the fondness he had for Morgan was based on this development between them.
In short: He got Morgan’s tail squeeze of approval.
