The younger sister is Magdalene; at only ten years old (and the youngest human student to ever attend Great Catenation), she has immense potential at wielding light magic, and even channeling divine energy despite her age. Despite this, however, she is a little bratty and immature, and she loves being doted on by her favorite older sibling, her half-sister Salome.
The older sister is Salome; even though she is a half-demon, she fervently and wholeheartedly loves God. And as such, through piety and devotion to her faith, she can also wield light magic and the divine, even if it hurts her at times to do so, claiming that it is all part of God's grand designs. She wonders why her half-sister Magdalene admires her so passionately, but does reciprocate the familial affection, even if the rest of her step-family does not.
Absconded from the Monastery and granted safety here, the two sisters are more than relieved to be allowed to pursue new studies, while given a safe place to practice their faith.
