History of Skitarii redux

This is a coloring and re-lining of a piece I did in 2021 where I speculated on what the most prominent “foot soldier” of the Adeptus Mechanicus was for each millenium of the Imperium’s history. Keep in mind that the Skitarii as an organization is vast and complicated; this is simply a summary of what the most iconic “skitarii” were for each time, and how the greater events of history shaped them into what they are today.

These are specifically Skitarii of Mars, but many other forge worlds often base their designs off of that of the Holy Planet so you can have confidence that each of these would have been seen in use across the galaxy in their time.

Also, you may have read somewhere that Skitarii as we know them now existed in the time of the heresy. You cannot trust such sources too much, but consider that the title may have been used but the look/role was likely way different.
