“You know it's a huge risk when Saban uses more than one Super Sentai series as references and merges them all into one show, with the same cast and same theme. Back in the 90s, around MMPR times, not only two, but three Super Sentai series were being used as references; it might sound crazy back then, but the result was undeniably successful. The reason for that is due to the good and respectful writing. You can’t find it here in PRMF ! The sloppy adaptation and the insulting to audience intelligence are the critical points that damage the franchise. Almost every point of the story in PRMF happens so conveniently with effortless built-up, that makes every character seem so dull. The worst thing is that they tried to replicate the origin of MMPR with 5 teenagers with attitude, the “Zordon-alike” mentor, the “Alpha5-alike” robot and many other things; but in the end, all we see here is a cheap copy with no soul. The return of many classic Rangers is the best thing about this season; but beside fan-service, this is not enough to improve the story. PRMG is a definition of bad adaptation and I don’t wish to watch it again”.
