What lengths would one be willing to go to in order to keep on living the active life they lived for so long? How much are they willing to give if it means spending as little time indoors as possible? Are they bold enough to experience the world around them at both its mildest and wildest, even at the cost of their physical integrity?

As far Lexi is concerned, the answer to all of the above would be an unironic "Yes!". Indeed, it used to be that Lexi enjoyed dirt biking so much that she spent most of her weekends out there taking on the roughest terrain she could spot. No hill was too steep and no jump was too high in her books...Until that one day, having presumably pushed her luck a hair too far, she failed to time her landing from a particularly high jump and veered straight into the rocky formations bordering the track, thus suffering multiple fractures mostly at her lower body.

Her bones eventually healed in full but the persistent, sometimes debilitating pain in her legs never really went away. All the doctors she went to were helpless to pinpoint the exact cause of said pain let alone provide a suitable treatment. After several months she decided that life on painkillers was no life at all and so she opted for the nuclear option: To have her troublesome legs amputated.

Despite the initial bout of existential dread in the wake of going through with such a procedure, she went on to find that although her life became harder in a way, it also became easier in another. She spent a decent deal of time, money and effort to help herself to as much mobility equipment she can park in her bedroom, from a custom-made wheelchair to prosthetics, all the way to more unconventional things like stump boots and a short cane, a pair of small bath stools to climb up/downstairs with and even a wheelboard cut from melted down plastic bottles and partially built from her old skateboard because why not?

Her love for dirt biking never died either. It just so happens that now she'll have to do that with an ATV as those are fully hand-controlled anyways. She also took on streaming as an occasional occupation, one that helps her foot the bill for her rather expensive accessibility accommodations as well as provide her with a unique channel through which to give her audience a look at her legless active life. Who knows, that way she might even inspire a few disabled viewers out there to take on the outside world with the same confidence as both their abled peers and herself would.
